Flip Flap Flop

Our Saturday mornings are busy. So busy, Luis had to change his work schedule as Siena has dance and Mason has basketball. Every other week, Mason's basketball starts as Siena's dance class ends so I get to watch both. As you've seen in videos, Siena is doing really well in dance. She's getting balance and coordination that can only be genes from Luis' side of the family.

Mason, who seems to have a double dose of Torland, is doing well in basketball. He is especially good at dribbling. We may have a little point guard in the making which is good since he'll probably never be taller than guard size. Here is is practicing shooting. Unfortunately this is the best shot I could get with the positioning of the baskets. And the positioning of the coach.

We were home for about an hour after the Saturday morning activities before heading over to Peitro's pizza to celebrate Giada's birthday party. Giada, if you'll recall, is the 3 year old daughter of our friends the DeCiccos. We got to visit Giada as a little newborn in the hospital and spend each of her birthdays with her which has been a treat. She's a cutie.

The only Sunday excitement consisted of a trip to Costco. Not exactly something I can pretend is exciting.

Mason got some quality computer time in searching the internet annals for all things Star Wars.

Siena spent the home time playing with her princesses and dollies, searching for princesses and Polly on the internet, and playing with Mason's legos. And her bangs continue to grow out nicely.
Last weekend I got my very first Vibram Five Fingers! If you aren't familiar with Five Fingers, essentially they allow you to run comparable to running barefoot. There is no cushioning, just protection on the bottom from rocks and other rough stuff on the road. There is a lot of evidience of the benefits of barefoot running and after 2 runs on my new shoes, I can't say enough about them. I actually run faster and feel significantly less aches and pains. They are amazing, even if they do look like frog feet.
