October is Birthday Month!

October is a very busy month.  Birthdays, Halloween, and we're throwing a trip to Disney World into the mix in a week!

Today is Siena and Papa Ron's birthday, but we celebrated Siena's birthday party party yesterday at JJ Jump.  There was so much playing and jumping that Siena had to take a break.

There is the requisite visit to the money grab machine.  I'm not sure how much monopoly money Siena got but the wind in the machine did cool things to her hair!
Siena and her girls.  From left, cousin Tristyn, Alyssa (Siena's good friend from dance class), Siena, and Alexis (Siena's good friend from Gloria's day care).
The kids all enjoyed some pizza.
The kids also enjoyed helping Siena with her presents.  She got so many neat outfits and toys.
After the party, we got home and I dove into cleaning and organizing our house.  I can't stand the thought of coming back from a vacation to a messy house so I take this pre-trip cleaning to all new levels, as Luis discovered as I set him to work on a couple of rooms as well.  This trait runs very strong in our family, as those who know my mother can attest to. :-)

After a lazy morning, we went to a local pumpkin patch.  Siena and I liked the flowers.
We all liked the giant hay pyramid, even though neither kid was brave enough to go through the darkened tunnels.
There were plenty of pumpkins to choose from.  The kids went big with their selections while Luis and I choose some of the smaller variety.
We put the kids to work lugging the cart.  They're never too young to start hauling stuff.
This pumpkin patch had a cool train that went around the property that we couldn't pass up.  You'll also note that Mason has his fresh pre-vacation haircut.
One stop on the train was to visit the farm animals.  We met some chickens, goats, a donkey, and some bunnies.  The kids were a bit partial to the bunnies.
It was such a perfect fall afternoon and the area around this pumpkin patch was gorgeous.
We gave Siena a Wii game that includes a number of traditional board games like Life, Twister, Mouse Trap, and Yahtzee.  All 4 of us got hooked on playing the game today.

For dinner we met my parents at The Original Taco house to celebrate Dad and Siena's birthday.  I'm still full.  Well, Mason's yelling for tuckles so I must go.

What a fun week--I loved the photos! Happy Birthday to all, and enjoy Disney World. We'll miss you at Kumla, and we'll try to save a log for you.
